Smothering: Covering invasive patches with tarps or cardboard for several months can kill them off by blocking sunlight.
Ongoing Monitoring: Check your property regularly to spot and remove any new invasives before they get out of control.
Property owners must understand that eliminating or controlling invasive plants is seldom a one-and-done thing.
